Pair it to a Device
Before pairing, make sure a Device record already exists for this PC on the Center panel (see the Owner Guide if you haven't set one up yet). Then, on the client itself:
- The setup screen asks for a Server URL first. Enter it and click Test Connection before it'll let you continue.
- On the Center panel's Devices list, run Pair Agent on the matching row. It shows a 6-character code, valid 10 minutes.
- Type that code into the client.
Note
The client's own setup screen tells you to go to "Devices → Pair Device." The actual button on the Devices list is named Pair Agent. Same thing, just a label that hasn't caught up.
On success, the client shows a confirmation with the machine's label and center name, then moves on to its normal lock screen by itself after a few seconds. Nothing else to click.
Heads up
The Server URL matters here: plain
http:// is only accepted for localhost or a private LAN address (10.x, 172.16–31.x, 192.168.x). Anything else needs https://, or the setup screen will refuse it outright.
