How updates work
Automatic, no action needed on your part in the normal case. The client checks for updates on launch and again every hour, downloads in the background, and installs itself the next time the machine is genuinely idle. Never mid-session.

On the Center panel's Devices list, staff can also push an update on demand with Send Update (per machine or in bulk). There's a "Make mandatory" option that forces the install the moment the current session ends, even if one's active right now. Use that sparingly.
